Outcome: NO

How this forecast is settled

Will Glovo or Chowdeck commit to physical vendor verification? Platforms may tighten checks, but sweeping policies rarely arrive overnight.

Resolution

NO, neither Glovo nor Chowdeck has released an official press statement explicitly committing to the "Physical Verification" of all new vendors within the last 24 hours. While the food delivery sector is currently embroiled in a "Ghost Kitchen" scandal following a viral investigation by Techpoint Africa (published circa May 8, 2026), the companies have not yet issued a formal corporate release mandating "Physical Verification" as a new policy.
